This week got off to a good start.  I spent Monday as a nano-scale scullery maid!  Translation: I suited up in a lab coat, gloves, and goggles and used a chemical process to clean off our silicon target substrate several times to be sure it was spic and span.

It seems as though we’ve all been saying the same things this week. “I can’t believe we’re halfway done.” “It feels like I just got here yesterday.” “Time is flying by!” And this is all very true.  My experiences so far in D.C.

Shauna LeFebvre

Welcome back to the Chronicles of a SPS Intern!

The Annual Meeting of The Society of Rheology is held in mid-October. The meetings ordinarily last three to four days and are open to both members and non-members. Every effort is made to stimulate and encourage fruitful discussion during the technical sessions, with 25 minutes normally allotted to the presentation and discussion of each paper. There are normally no more than four simultaneous sessions, and the program includes plenary lectures, special symposia, informal evening discussions, and instrument exhibits.

Zone Councilors, Associate Zone Councilors, SPS President, Sigma Pi Sigma President, SPS Staff and others gather in Washington, DC (annual event).
