My third weekend in DC was filled with some much needed relaxation and sleep. Friday night was fairly uneventful. Some of the other interns living in my apartment decided to stay in and watch movies. The next morning was unfortunately and early morning.

This week was much more mellow than the last, it was nice to have that change in pace. I spent most of the weekend catching up with laundry and getting ready for the week ahead. Sunday night a couple interns and I watched Tron and Mulan, there was much singing along.

Like the fourth week, the fifth week has gone a little slow. For my work, I continued updating the PTRA documents. These updates included noting where the NGSS should be taken into account for lesson plans, as well as converting some of the lesson plans to the 5-E format. Educators and school districts across the U.S. are moving toward both the NGSS and the 5-E method as their preference for teaching science, so my work using them marks the future of education.
