NIST Research Intern
Society of Physics Students
I am a physics major at Utah State University (USU). I have spent the past three years doing research with USU’s Materials Physics Group on materials used in spacecraft design. After my time at USU I intend to go to graduate school, tentatively in solid state physics. I have been highly involved in the Society of Physics Students and Sigma Pi Sigma since I was a freshman.
I was born and raised in Utah and am excited to explore a new city, Washington, DC. I will miss the mountains, though. I love rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and just about everything to do with the mountains. I've always been excessively inquisitive, which is how I found my way into the sciences. I'm excited to spend my summer exploring a new city and a new field.
