University of Minnesota
AIP Mather Policy Intern: Rep. Robert Andrews Office (D-NJ)
U.S. House of Representatives
I am a rising senior at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where I am pursuing bachelors degrees in physics and political science. I am involved in undergraduate research studying gene regulation networks, and I volunteer for multiple grassroots political organizations, where I am engaged in attempting to raise awareness and increase youth participation in the political process.
Although I am originally from Saint Louis, MO, I've enjoyed my time in the Twin Cities. Attending a university in an urban environment can be challenging, especially when it comes to parking, but it also opens up a tremendous opportunity to learn from members of the community outside the traditional University paradigm. I look forward to completing my senior year, and especially the opportunity to take on leadership roles on campus during election season. I am also anticipating the process of applying to graduate programs in the fall, although I am as of yet unsure of both where and what type of program would interest me most.
In my free time, I enjoy watching soccer, laughing at the Daily Show and Colbert Report, riding my longboard, and listening to music.
