The American Institute of Physics (AIP) recently released the 2016 data on physical science departments on GradSchoolShopper.com (GSS). Students will find up-to-date, comparative information on graduate programs and physics research in the United States and other countries, including China and Hong Kong. This year they also welcomed a department from New Zealand. The Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies is participating for the very first time. Additionally, there are several new features to the site for the student user, including the ability to search by geographical region and the opportunity to order a copy of the print version free of charge.
GSS features the profiles of several hundred graduate programs with information on degrees offered, housing, degree requirements, department and faculty research specialties, department culture, special equipment, facilities or programs, notable alumni, and more. The Graduate Programs in Physics, Astronomy, and Related Fields is the print companion resource to GSS and will begin to ship in the coming days.
