TLU Family Physics Night and TLU SPS Public Lecture in Physics
This is a community event that draws nearly 400 people to our campus each fall. The SPS chapter transforms an empty “party barn” on campus into a pop-up science museum. Last fall, the theme was “The Physics of Energy”. There are 8 interactive stations where visitors of all ages learned about energy and energy transformations, including a two story bowling ball pendulum, a 288-mouse-trap-ping pong ball nuclear fission simulation and a human powered electric generator.
