I am a Junior at Kettering University, majoring in Applied Physics. Kettering University is a small STEM university in Flint, Michigan that has a rotational co-op program. I rotate between taking classes at school for 3 months and working as a co-op at an engineering firm for 3 months. I work at a company called Valeo in the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Department. I collaborate with a Senior Expert in CFD to theoretically simulate air going through an HVAC unit and fluid through other thermal components responsible for the heating and cooling system in a car. I also enjoy holding study sessions as a Supplemental Leader for introductory physics courses during school term. I currently serve as President of the Kettering University B-Section SPS Chapter and Physics Club where we participate in many outreach activities to increase interest in STEM throughout the community and grow as a diverse collection of students intrigued and fascinated by the field of physics.
