Professional Experience:
• Research Assistant at Space Telescope Science Institute (June 2019 – January 2020) simulating James Webb Space Telescope observations of transiting exoplanets to help aid scientists with their exoplanet parameters for JWST's Cycle 1 proposals.
• Co-founder of Quash (October 2016 – Present), Cairo, Egypt. Quash is an Egyptian student-development company founded on the principle of helping high school students understand prospective careers and later declare college majors by familiarizing them with intensive courses in various fields of study.
• Student Councilor at Education USA Egypt (May – August 2017) to help high school seniors with their Egypt and U.S. college applications. Awarded "Outstanding Councilor."
• Constraining the Galactic Electron Density with Multi-Messenger Astronomy. This is my departmental honors senior-year thesis. The project just got approved. Timeline should be August 2020 – May 2021.
• Publications:
- Co-translator of NASA Goddard's Key Facts International for the James Webb Space Telescope Key Facts (July 2019)
- Author of The Escaping Flashback. Published by Dar Al-Shorouk (January 2017). Received “Youngest Author in the Middle East” title by Egyptian TV and Media, and Goodreads author recognition.
- Editor for Classical Mechanics textbook that integrates coding languages (Python and Mathematica), authored by Dr. V. Pagonis and Dr. C.W. Culp. Publication date is August 2020.
