Hi! I'm Kazi Uzayr Razin, a mechanical engineering student at Augustana College. I presently serve as the President of our Society of Physics Students (SPS) chapter, the Augustana Physics and Engineering Society. Since my freshman year, I have been consistently involved in the chapter, previously serving as the Head of Outreach during my sophomore year. Over the past year, I have further expanded my involvement in the physics department by joining the steering committee of the APS-IDEA program at Augustana College, where I contribute to enhancing inclusivity and diversity initiatives within our academic community. Currently, I am also working on a research project with an environmental engineering professor at Augie to replicate the PlanktoScope, a modular, open-source quantitative algal imaging instrument to monitor natural micro-plankton communities.
