Amanda Landcastle has been attending The College at Brockport: State University of New York for four years now and plans on graduating in 2015. She spent two years as a chemistry major until she decided to focus her efforts on earning a physics degree. Now in her junior year of her physics major, she is on her second year as an SPS member. Amanda is active in the scientific community at her university as the president of the SPS chapter and treasurer of the Chemistry Club. As president of the SPS chapter, she has arranged multiple outreach events and intends on using the SPS Marsh White Award to increase the chapter's outreach to high school students in the area. She has attended the SPS Zone 2 Regional Meeting for the past two years and intends on participating in the meeting in April 2014. On top of her active role in SPS, she has maintained her Dean's List standing since starting her physics major and she has participated in research through a summer REU and nin the Chemistry and Physics department at The College at Brockport.
